For a good magazine, I recommend Tree Care Industry. It's put out by the NAA. Their website is
www.natlarb.com
I believe you can subscribe from there, it's free to people in the industry. Just renew every year.:)

The four major publications in the industry are TCI (by National Arborist Association), ArborAge (by GreenMedia), Arborist News (by International Society of Arboriculture) and of course the Sherrill Arborist Supply catalog (by me!!!):D
I'm on vacation so I can be as shameless as I want, right?

I've learned about a lot of new techniques and equipment from the Sherrill catalog. I heard about the Blake's hitch in TCI, but learned how to tie it from an illustration in Sherrill's catalog. Just one of many things I've picked up from reading the trade rags! :D

2/4 & 2/5/2002 the Penn-Del ISA Shade Tree Symposium will be in Lancaster PA. Mark Chisholm will be doing 2 sesions, I believe one is rigging and the other is climbing. There will be lots of other speakers on assorted topics too.

Mark and I will be doing a two day climbing class in North East PA in the spring. There will be very limited spaces available. If someone is interested you can contact me through e-mail.
