Wore Chippewas for the first 5 years, Red wings since. The last couple of pairs of chippewas only lasted a few months, after the first pair lasted nearly 3 years. Red Wings have held up awesome.

Viberg 148 s and Viberg 105 T s
But I climb in spurs so I need the heel.
Probably wouldn't work too good for foot locking.
Viberg is the longest lasting boots I've ever owned. And the only brand that I know of that I haven't had are Culien's. As far as west coast style anyway.
I have Duram, Scarpa and Merrill hiking + mountaineering shoes and boots. I will wear one of them or my Viberg 45 s when I try foot locking.

A guy I worked for swore by Haix, wouldn't buy anything else. I wear Schoen 1100s and they're good, but hard on the feet for the first week or two

Carolina Logger's (supposedly dielectric) 10" waterproof. They're holding up pretty good. Right around $100. Looking at gettin some 16"ers for the winter. I'd like to try out some wescos but have alot of different gear to buy before I spend that much on boots.

Vibergs are the shiznit! I have a pair of 16" 75's for the spurs and Lowa Renegades for everything else.

12" Carolina linesman boots. Lasted me about 7 years now. Of course...the soles are worn smooth, and are about to fall off...but great boots. :)

i was thinking about trying a set of Red Dawgs from baileys.com - A guy i work with swears by those boots and for $200 doesn't seem like a bad deal.. Otherwise i will go with Georgia's.

I had chipiwa this year and all the stitching is commimg apart I always had redwing before my last pair of redwing got the sole riped off in an accident ( was a miracle my foot didn't get squised) but I had to get boots right away and chipiwa were only boots available I've hated them all year. I need a 13 b I haven't found a log boot that size yet.

I'm a big fan if Viberg boots as well.

I have the Linesman 75. Love them. Great in spurs, even all day.

Pretty good for walking doing grounds work as well.

Yes, they are expen$ive......... but worth every penny.:msp_thumbup:
