I’m going to assume this tree in the foreground is white pine? I know that is a Doug fir right behind it. Tree in question had lightish brown bark when compared to the doug. It was dead and the branches were too high for me to get a good pic but they appeared to be circular, similar to Doug fir IMG_0736.jpegIMG_0737.jpeg
 
Easiest way to differentiate Doug firs from hemlocks, if they still have a top, is the tip of a fir will be straight up, hemlock will have a shepherd‘s hook at the tip. Also, hemlock has very small cones compared to fir
