I can see a using a control line-@ the fork so the rest of the tree won't go into the house, but this doesn't look like a very large tree to begin with. So I would V- knotch the top, under cut to meet it and let the top slide off to the ground.

Why risk extra damage sliding off? you can support, brush out, lift and swing off with only a little more effort.
