They are just 24' tall with 1' thick sticks. Throw ropes what? This is probably understood the wrong way here. There are pics up of two different groups of pines. One set is healthy, and the other is not. I'd have put a ladder up against the sick ones, but I could see all I had to see from where I stood without it. I see nothing out of the ordinary, but I think the phloem could have been a little more sappy. I really just think they are in are in a really bassakwards spot for growing. Semi-concrete...err... clay below them and construction on top of the roots can't be what anyone would have high hopes about.

As far as climbing.... well, that rhymes with tree care. That was the first thing I learned in the AS Allmanac. If yeh can't climb, well hell, I don't want to know ya, yuk, yuk, yuk.

FTA,

I'm seriously confused. 24' tall, 1' "sticks" you mean spars? Anyway you oughtta be able to climb that no problem, what with all your baseball prowess.

And although not being able to climb doesn't definitively mean your uneducated in tree care, for god sakes learn to climb already. You want people to take you seriously, being able to climb a 24-foot tall pine jungle-gym is a place to start.

Sorry BT, I gotta spread it around, we should be able to "rep" as much as we want. I hope FTA sticks around and keeps us entertained. But I hope he has thick skin and hangs long enough to be our tree brother.:)
