looks to me like a newer mcculloch design for the US. judging by the air filter cover, and the starter cover, thats my guess anyways.

AL-KO, and many, many more names to this tittle thing.

Here we by them in store for 990skr/132US$

That says a lot.

Toy build saw.

Who do you think built it?
I have seen this saw with atleas 5 more names, partner for one.

Befor you brains catch fire, perhaps look at it and think, does it matter what it is called or made, it is a 15 hour saw.

its a cheapo homeowners saw plain and simple. I'll stay with the QUALITY saws from Stihl or Husky.

There is alot of thease out now in all coulors and names, remember Norlette 1618.
It was the same thing then, cheap sold everywere and often to peoplo who should not have them at all.

Have you seen the Norlette 1618.

NOW you speak up!

Do you know how LONG the refund line is at Lowes on a Sunday morning?:D

Seriously, I was looking at one of the Troy-Bilt saws today at Lowes, label mentioned M.T.D. (there's a short thread here on that), & made in Taiwan. Reminded me of a Homelite, but the primer bulb was in the wrong place.

I asked a Dewalt Rep. how it was that they had enough refurbs to sell them in outlets across the country. He said that you wouldn't believe the number of people that will buy a power tool and use it on a Saturday project and then return it saying they weren't satisfied. Returning a bad tool or one that doesn't live up to it's specs is one thing, but just to use it on one project then take it back is another.

LOL :D The first thing I thought of when I read this was all the girls that would return dresses and shoes after the prom was over, claiming they didn't fit right or some other BS excuse to get their money back. Makes me glad I don't run some kind of store when people pull stunts like this. Once an item is sold it is " used " plain and simple and is a loss for the store.

I used to work at a large grocery store in high school, you would not believe some of the stories people would come up with and return merchandise, claiming canned goods had mold in it or made them deathly ill, never bring in the spoiled contents just empty containers or boxes. Customer is always right though, and refund the money in the name of goodwill.
