OK...I know this not Big Equipment..if posted wrong...move it and I will learn...
Here is the issue...testing a used TroyBuilt Chipper a friend will sell. It looks new...but has been sitting for over a year. Got it running last night..had to clean out the gas tank and the carb. Start and runs great. Changed the oil..all good...BUT....when it turn up the RPM...the rattles more than m ex-wife..I mean sound bad !!!! Not the engine..but down in the blade area. I am a little leary to keep running it. So is it that normal ????
Thanks Abner...

Thanks Abner...

open it up and look at the hammers.

could be an old chunk of wood in there that they're beating against.
you might as well sharpen up the "blades" while in there also.
you are not going to be happy with that machine. they suck.

Looked inside..all looked good...moved it to a new location...the rattle quit...must have been the way it was sitting...
So went again tried to chip up some small limbs....not impressed !!!
Does not pull-in, you have to push it in with a stick or 2X4....to get it to feed....for 300..will just rent a big one when I need it...
