trying out the vt
I have been trying out several of the advanced friction hitches distel , swabisch, VT. I think I like the vt the best. I purchased some precut 3/8 prussik cord cut at 52 in. with the ends dipped for 1.77 each if you buy 5 or more from Bishop arborist supply they told me these were made by New England rope tensile strength 3800 lbs for single strand. These seem to work great with the vt they lock and release good no binding. Im using the Sherill pro spec rope now. I didnt realize how much smoother this worked compared to the blakes which I have been using up to this point.
