I'm not super involved in cutting wood, but I have learned a TON from searches and old posts, so thanks to you guys, a bunch!
I bought a Husqvarna air injection 55 last year from a fellow here on the trading post. He said that he couldn't get it to maintain the jetting.
I was finally able to dig into it this last week, and I replaced the impulse grommet, the intake boot, fuel line and clean everything up. The saw would start and run at idle, but would die at WOT. So I bought a new fuel filter and carburetor gasket from the dealer, and today it fired up & ran like a champ. I am still a bit worried about the fuel vent - I have a new one to install- but it seems like it will do its job. The next step is to do a muffler mod - I've read a few different versions, but am still figuring things out.
I'd like to thank anyone that has given an input on old threads, and would welcome any new input (especially on the muff mod)
