Hi folks, I was just wondering if it would be more cost effective to upgrade my 2500-4 to a 35 or 44 hp engine as opposed to searching out a used but newer machine with said larger engine on it? I'd like to keep to the same size machine as I can get into spots tow behinds and much larger machines cannot. Mine has a 27 hp Kohler on it now and for larger stumps it is just way under powered, it costs me too much time. Since this machine is pretty old, I plan to replace all the bearings (have one starting to chirp), shafts that need it, etc.
