Hi guys i have 4 used walkerized 372 xp full wrap version for sale. These saws are from my rental contract with Weyerhuaeser. The saws have been walkerized and have 200 working days on them, We have done all the maintenance on them and have completely gone over them before selling. These saws are $ 1200.00 new after Walkerizing and im letting them go for $ 600.00 Canadian. I may have a few more by the end of the month. If your interested please e-mail me and we will talk about payment and shipping terms.

Just curious, was there any common maintenence requirements over that 200 day use period?
The reason I ask is I have the 372 as well ( less than 50 hours ) just wondering what to expect.
By the way $600 Canadian thats only $375 or so U.S. sounds like a screaming deal to me, if I had U.S dollars.

200 days sounds like a hell of a lot of hours to me. i'm assuming this is felling and bucking. just wondering, my use would be for occasional milling. $375 american for a 372wxp checked out by walkers doesn't sound to bad. John is that just the powerhead?

Hi yes the saws at the 100 day point had all been totally gone over and if the saw had any problems it was fixed that day, you see on a rental contract if we dont do maintenance it will cost me money in the long run. take 200 days at 4 hours a day maximum running time = 800 hours is like 33 days of running 24 hours a day, not much time at all when some of our customers usually get 3-4 years from the same saw.
I will sell with a used 28-33" bar and new chain for the 600. if you wish anything smaller i will add $ 50.00 for new bar and chain.

Thanks John W

Hey John, have you experienced any big end rod bearing failures with the 372XP, we have some lopping crews that are hard on cranks, I mean crankshafts!

Hi no we do not see to many crank failures on the 372. I would guess only a couple in the last year. Usually only see that on stihls when the 250 days are up on it. We call stihls 066 046 the 250 day saw as they usually blow out a rod or main bearing right around that time.
Maybe they are over revving it with a small bar and are they using a proper chain saw mix, i know some of our tree guys cheap out and use out board mix oil or some other cheap crap.
Never pays in the long run.

John, sorry was'nt trying to under sell your saws, my question was for real. Sounds like you don't think much of Stihls, in the shop I work we sell both Stihl and Husky.
Would like to ask you another question, after you hop-up a saw do you recomend a mixture other than 50-1 ?

hi no i didnt take it that way. We only sell Husky but we Walkerize alot of stihls as they are pretty doggy stock with the EPA.
I my self would own both as they are the only 2 saws to have.
The Husky may nickle and dime you but you will get longer life but the stihls will have fewer problems but do not seem to last as long.
Yes we recommend 50:1 mixture but most of customers use Castrol Super 2 Stroke mix oil. It burns really clean and seems to have a real low ash content which keeps the carbon down. We also sell the Husky brand xp oil to the rest of our customers and have no problem with it.
We will be next week testing a new oil for Husky in the 385. I think it is simular to the castrol but with the fuel stabilizer in it.
