I'm putting a wood burning furnace in my basement. There's no existing ductwork. I'm going to run two ducts from a T from the furnace up to the first floor. I'll cut holes for registers and run the ducts to them. It's not a great distance; just around 15 feet total ducting. I've settled on a Home Depot Englander Add-on. furnace. Now, there's only a fireplace foundation down in the basement and it's being used for a fireplace on the first floor. I thought about installing a factory built chimney but I'm afraid my wife might balk and say it looks bad. Any advice?

I just put my wood furnace in operation in my unfinished basement. I run a hot blast 1557. I had to put up duravent class A that I had from a chimney at my old house. I have the SS version, they do not look that bad in my opinion and stay pretty clean.

one solid fuel appliance per flue is code, can not be combined with another appliance.
That's why I'm going to need to set up a factory built chimney. I'll actually run it alongside one side of my brick chimney.
