Hey guys, looking at buying this chipper. The neighbor said he'd like to sell it when he is done with it...neither of us have a clue what it's worth. I guess I should have tried to find the model number, but maybe you guys can kind of figure out my description. It's a bit older as it doesn't have the safety features on the back, like the red bar that ticked me off every time I leaned in a little too fa...like the one I rented from Home Depot last year. But it's a Vermeer, looks like the average chipper towed behind tree service trucks, it is powered by a Ford 300 I6, and he says it takes up to a 6 inch tree and even that won't slow it down. it looks like it has been rusted for a while and then just painted over cuz it looks almost like orange peel drywall texture in many areas, a couple places are covered in diamond plate, so it's definitely aged. But from the info I provided, can you guys tell me a rough price range that this would be worth....obviously many factors are missing without seeing it for yourselves, but I'm looking kinda for "well, that size chipper is easily worth at least $X.XX but I wouldn't pay more than $Y.YY given it's age" If absolutely needed, I can try to get the model number next weekend, but I'm wondering if it was painted over or something, cuz I usually pay attention to things like model numbers when I am interested in something like this...Anyway, Any help is greatly appreciated, hopefully you guys can come up with a rough idea.

Thank You in Advance,

Eric
