Vermont castings defiant

Just picked up a vermont castings defiant wood stove. Never burned on the shipping pallet. Wondering if anyone has ever taken this model apart and resealed it. Paid $40 for it

Hot damn! Which model defiant? D1 has a 1 piece fire back. D1A1 has a 2 piece, the upper is at an angle but otherwise flat, D2 has a curved fire back. A D3 would feature top load, which that one doesn’t. That’s quite a find, you’re a lucky guy! Treat it well, it will treat you well.
