Thanks to all the veterans that have fought for our freedoms we enjoy and take for granted daily:bowdown:

Yes thank you all. And...my son Cody joined the Marines yesterday. I have been choked up and can hardly speak for 24 hours. I am proud as heck but scared as any parent would be.

Please thank him for me! My son is a Navy SeaBee. He's done a lot of work with Marines in both Iraq and Afganistan. He really respects them.

2 dogs I can only imagine your pride and concern at Cody's enlistment, I remember my parents reaction upon my enlistment at the age of 16 to the Corps of Royal Military Police.
It was a period of my life which gave me so much, only 7 and a bit years !, I look back on with many different emotions but I know it gave me so much to fall back on. So with gods good grace he will emerge a strong and balanced man better equiped to cope with the world we now live in.
My Corps motto " Exemplo Ducamus" - By example we lead-, I have tried to do so ever since.

I did 20 years in the US Navy (1986-2006)... nd worked alongside Marines for the first 6 years of my time in. i was on an Amphibious Assault Ship and we were one of the first ships to deploy Marines during Operation Desert Storm. I have a deep respect for them.

Oo-Rah... Kick some ass Cody...

Gary
