Tiles will run toward the back and connect to the storm sewer.



I had them install non-perforated tile for my gutter to drain off, and a perforate tile to take any groundwater away from my neighbors building.



Street and sidewalk paving will have to wait until spring. The city is O.K. with that but the bar patrons are griping...

John Deere version of the Echo twin. I may get to the Wright C50 next week?











Twin cylinder, horizontally opposed, firing simultaneously. If you haven't heard one run, they have a very cool sounding idle.

The fellow that donated this one stopped by while I had everything in the parts washer. He kept asking "where did all of those extra parts come from"?

That Lombard looks like it shares some engineering from a Homelite.

Homelite, Lombard, and Remington all share many similarities in those models.









Lombard fired on prime, I may not fuel this one since it is just going into the display.

Have you made any cuts with the John Deere? Mark.
I'd love to hear your feedback on it's performance.

I have done some cutting with the Echo version that I have, they are very reliable (starting), very smooth, and have good torque, but they are a bit bulky/heavy for a 60cc saw.

I could say the same for any of the 600 Series McCulloch case, except for reliable starting and smooth...

Wright saws recently, Carter NRD carburetors have proven to be the sticking point with no parts availability. Both run on prime.

I will be having an "open house" on 28/29 March here at the museum. Coffee & donuts in the morning and probably pizza sometime in the afternoon both days.

For those that need/want to run saws there will be a place about 4 mile away; I won't have any here at that time due to construction on the new building next door.

I don't have any space for campers here, but there is a county operated campground just on the south edge of town, I doubt the facilities will be up by then but there would be space available anyway.

I will be checking later to try and get an idea of how many to expect.

This one is fully operational.

The "Solid-State Ignition" consists of a points type coil with a chip permanently connected.

I love the clutch cover and the funky shaped cylinder on that saw, very retro.

Back in my lineman days, I carried a somewhat earlier Partner version of that saw on my line truck. It was a pretty tough little unit, but we asked a lot of it for a saw that size. It was eventually replaced with a Sachs Dolmar 112.

The exhaust from the muffler is directed to a duct in the clutch cover, then forward and out the bottom of the saw. Evidently that was to try and keep the exhaust away from the operator.
