Hi everyone, I've been a lurker here forever but have gotten an invaluable amount of information from all of you! Thank you!

Just wanted to ask FLRA_Dave, instead of splitting them in half with the wedge would the four way work better or does it make a mess like how you said the six way does. Im wondering cause Im getting closer to buying a significant amount of land and the Wallenstein is on my short list of "wants" for firewood. Planning to sell a little on top of what I will need for personal use. Thanks again!

That video was with the 4 way. I had it set low to give my step brother a guide. The bottom two splits were the correct size while what was on top was generally oversized And would be ran through again.

Ok I see it know. Thanks for explaining. Have you considered getting the cradle for the saw. I was surprised how expensive it was!

I did get the pivoting saw holder for it. Only it isn't compatible with the wrap handle on my MS 441 R C-M.

Got ya. Might have to go pull the trigger on one of these soon! Looks like a nice in-between solution without going full on processor. Thanks again for your time.

Just wanted to show what can be fed into one of these. This was a red oak. The problem you get when they are this long though is that (with the saw mount) the cut is not perpendicular to the log. I think this is part of the reason that the newer WP835's have a flatter ramp/table.

That's a cool machine man! Does need some kind of little mini arch for the back end of the log to keep it level I guess, but still cool!

Actually the log needs to be shorter to allow more of an angle to be fed into the machine properly.

Yes, can lower the jack up front, but that lowers the discharge chute. Probably fine when the doors are open, but when they are closed, it doesn't leave much adjustment left to still get it over onto the trailer. This machine is very finicky being level left/right. Engine side up higher is ok, but let it get 2 inches lower, and it will send fluid flying out the fill tube (blow the cap/dip stick right off).

This Wallenstein isn't too bad, but I've been looking at processors with live decks and attached conveyors since Booneville in August. Just going to have to ride this machine out a while longer.

Lots of choices out there now. Seems like a new company pops up every months

I was looking at the Dyna SC12, Blockbuster 14-12, and the Wood Beaver 'Lil Beaver 16. PTO models (I have a Deere 5045E due for delivery for the 1st week of November, so I'll have two tractors!). All of them are out of my price range at the moment though.

You end up with a dyna sc12 or 12xp msg me and I will give you some detailed pics of all of my modifications and a parts list for adding hydraulic saw and clamp. Skip the conveyor that comes with them. It's to short and for close to the same money you can buy one from mighty ox that is double the length. Plus it would be a separate conveyor that you could use with your splitter

Limited to 8-10ft logs and compared to a medium sized processor hard on fuel.
About same cost, 30-35k area.

These have a cool factor to them and you can take the rig off and put a bucket on and scoop up firewood, but, a bobcat is very very expensive and I bet that processing attachment really puts it way over 100k easily. I can buy a smaller tractor with a bucket/tong attachment, and a home built processor and spend the rest on a firewood boiler/kiln dryer set up so I can package and ship firewood around the country.

Thanks
