yup... i had already made a bypass cut in the log in the first pic. tension compressing it end to end tho, so it would not break off easily. so i clambered on top, made very sure my rope saw lanyard etc was clear and gave a good solid jump and swung away from the carnage. my tie in was a good 15' ahead of me so it made for a good swing. the trees (big leaf maples) are on the edge of a golf course fairway, behind me was a steep bank where all the debris was to stay. so it worked out well.
