Hello all. I am in the market for another chipper and found some good deals locally on a WC17 diesel. I only have experience with Bandits and have done a search here as well for more info. Any pro's or con's on buying the WC17? Thanks for the input in advance.

Any word on who the former owner was? There's a WC17 floating around SOMEWHERE that a former friend of mine used to own. If it is the same machine, I'd say to pass. I know MAN sold one a number of years back with no hours on it... not sure where it went, but really there aren't that many wood chucks around here.

wood chuck makes a pretty good chipper. the wc 17 is a 12 inch chipper. in the 12 inch range its hardto compete with a brush bandit or you could get a morbark 13 its a good chipper but it doesn't have the hydraulics like a bandit where you can crush the brush and the feed wheels keep turning. on the morbarks the wheels will stop. good luck on your chipper.
