firewood handles

I talked to a large bundling company. If a handle breaks loose and falls on the customer's foot, then there is a potential liability, so they don't do handles. I think this is my conclusion as well.

why the handle? just shrink wrap it and sell it..why re invent the wheel? have we as a society dropped to a level that we won't buy a product if it has no handle?????????
test some with your handles and some with out handles and see if it is worth the extra $$$$
just my 2 cents

Poly rope

Hey I put handles on my bundles. I use a hot knife and a big roll of yellow poly rope from Harbor Freight. I also got my air stapler from Harbor freight. I use a one inch staple green box quantity 5000. I also put two each into each end I sit down at a table with the hot knife warmed up and make one to two hundred handles and leave them in a plastic bucket until I need them. It is kind of a mindless job sit down crank up the radio pull out a few yards of rope and start cutting. I cut mine about 12" The melted ends will not unravel. People like a handle to carry the wood.

Just thought I'd bump this topic and draw your attention to FirewoodHandles.com
