We have a 3 year old weeping cherry tree that is in full sun. It is growing like crazy but just keeps getting wider and not taller. It's about 25' across and 8' tall. Is there trimming I can be doing to get it to grow taller...without injury to it? If so, what time of year is best? Thanks for any help!

??

The idea of it being a weeping anything is for the branches to weep and hang to the sides. If you want taller, buy a regular cherry.

?? Uh yeah, I'm aware that a weeping anything has branches that hang to the sides. I will post a pic in the morning. It's actually only 6' tall in the center and 25' across.

Nature of the beast I think. Never seen one grow taller
