I went to my dealer today to pick up my new MS441 R C-M, which I am ecstatic about btw! While I was there, waiting for them to make the saw ready and ring me up, I got to looking at the saws they had on the shelf, I should have never done that. A new MS201T C-M with a 14" bar caught my eye. I already have a MS192T which has served me well for many years (my first Stihl), but I have always found it lacking in power and the plastic dogs formed into the case have always bothered me as well. After a talking with the salesman I decided to bring it home with me as well, needless to say, I am saw poor for the foreseeable future.

Both of these new additions will go well with my MS261 C-M which I have been thoroughly enjoying for a better part of the last year. I think I have my bases pretty much covered with the top handle, 50cc and now 70cc saws, the only thing missing is a nice pole saw, maybe this fall. I am hoping to get out to the ranch this weekend and bury the both of them in some wood.

Where did you go that you could buy a new 441?

Wagners Hardware in Cuero, TX. He called the distributor, told them I wanted a R model with a 28" bar and it was there in a couple of days. My dealer here in town, which I don't support, won't even sell the 441 anymore, nor do they list it on their website. Now that you mention it, I don't even see the R model listed on Stihl's US website, weird.

Yeh I didn’t think you could get it in the US anymore. Of course I don’t know a lot

So if your wife sees this post, will you have to go out and buy some jewelry?

She was in the truck when I went in today lol. She saw me come out with two saws when it was only supposed to be one, so I am already on the hot seat haha. It's easier to ask for forgiveness than for permission, at least that's what they tell me lol. It's not easy to hide purchases from an accountant/CPA, especially when she sleeps in the same bed with you.

New truck too?Lottery money?

Yea, we picked that up a couple of months ago. She pretty much stole my F-250 from me so I needed a new truck, I love that she likes to drive it so it's no big deal and we no longer have to own neutered mid-size SUV's now. I went out and got a Ram Power Wagon to build for our overland/camping rig, driving a gasser again is interesting, but when I miss my F-250 I just jump in it when she gets home haha.

I’m gunna have to go talk to my dealer about this 441 business. I may be selling off more saws than I thought.

Nice saws and truck. I’m over in East Texas, we should have a get together sometime lol

Not to try to one-up, but I left in the wife's SUV to pick up one saw, and not anything fancy at that. Picked up about 40 basket cases and hid them out in my friends wood shed. SUV was loaded to the gun wall, including front passenger seat.. And have been sneaking one or two in every once in a while.. Good thing she doesn't visit the garage very often.. But, HEY, just to good to pass up.. Cheers, K
