This might be a stupid question but I was wondering if I can cut wood that has just been rained on? Evan
NO WAY !
Could you imagine all the problems with RUST ??
Wait till tomorrow.
Then make up for it by cutting more.

This was key info!
All my friends saws will work fully submerged and do stump grinding too...Mine, for some reason, do not!
I would say that you even blow on the fire to get it going good!
Cutting wet wood is very dangerous, a few years ago I went to cut up a large oak that had fallen in the lake. I decided to start with the smaller branches so I rowed out in a fishing boat with a friends Super XL, I jumped in the 13 foot water and went to the bottom and began cutting. Somthing caused the saw to staul down there and I allmost drowned trying to swim back to the surface with that heavy old super XL. I will never attempt to cut wet wood again. Incidently, my friend has never let me use his saw again.
See I know where you went wrong... it's very difficult to hear the 'pop' when trying to start a saw under water. You should come up for air then get back down there to try again.
hmm, sounded more like a MS361 owner to me
