on a chance i put a new 8 pin on with almost new 20 bar. in 15 inch hickory..
dang man.. im gonna say it .. u beat this dang thing,, with a work saw .. im gonna have to see it,, to believe it..
i finally got to this saws potential..
aint nothin like i ever saw from a chainsaw..dan deserves the credit.
aint saying it ll beat a race saw but any work saw beats this 372 .. gonna blow my mind.. aint nothin gonna beat it,, by much..
and my square filing must not be as bad as i thought either..dang ,,like the song says. i guess u had to be there..[lorrie morgan]
yep im bragging.. a little luck an thought an ,,i get to brag a little.its ready any time any body doubts it,come on dn,to gods country..im high as ive been,, since my son beat 8 strait boys in a row,, arm wrestling ..this after we moved to stanly county..

good point.. i dont do it and the same son i mentioned,, is estranged from me ,due to his input,, [an my answer to him] in my breakup.. but im gonna try an find a way.. hes an insurance adjuster an could do it easy,as hes into digital an all,in his work....
my son in law is a computer guru but not into cameras.. il see what i can do..
i still think u guys missing somethin if u dont visit nc,an me .. u mite not ever leave. as this is a beautiful place to be..
but ill find out what i can about the video stuff. again .. thank u dan.. this is a seabiscuit story..an ole hayseed like me,, with an ugly saw,, that can do what this saw can do..
ps im tempted to see what frank would charge to make me an chain.. pm me frank if u interested.. i just hate to use a race chain,, that i cant put to work after we done showing off our saws..

been thinking an im a bit ashamed o myself.. if i can get a clip on here some how.. it will be to show my saw an the progess i am making with it..
not to prove anything to ha ha ha man or any likem.. i never have needed to do that.. unless it was head to head..
an i didnt enjoy, having to do that..
id rather keep people with that mentality at an distance .. so it dont rub off.which it did,,but just for a little bit..
im gonna take the saw to the get togather,, at my daughters inlaws thanksgiving..tim her daddy in law,, cuts firewood .. so if the opportunity presents itself ,ill at least get an vhs or something like that,of it.. it be good to study my self to see where i need the most work..

Just remember Tony ol "Seabiscuit" only had one run in his career and that was it. Plus to boot he was a guilding. Seems to me Tony you are being baited for round 2, Nice work. Get some clips up, no puffy wood or half cuts.

Tony you are an awesome guy; Three days square filing and you got the Balloon Knot shakin' in his shoes! Your chains should get faster as you wear them back further. You need to cut a few thousand cookies before a dedicated race chain will gain you much. It is a lot more important to get the ear for where your saw does best and the feel in the hands to keep it there through the whole cut thru the log. When your chains are starting to get real fast they won't look too much difference than the picture Ballonknott posted earlier.

Macman i suggested such a thing a long time ago and it was concluded that you couldn't find such a man here.

Macman I dont think it is just that easy to fairly decide.
I dont doubt that some 372's could be pumped up higher than Tony's. To put the same chain on two different saws might not be fair. I am just thinking of a little experiment EHP made with my 260 and Markys 346. Their torqe curve is different and what was the right raker setting for the chain when used on one saw was not right for it when we put it on the other saw.
A saw that was set up racier might not do so well if you started making half a dozen cuts back to back in 20 inch maple. The tamer one might take the day there.
I think if Tony gets to file a decent square chain he'll be able to clean up on the local woodticks. I think he is too sharp an old codger though to throw down the glove where he knows he's outgunned! He's just funnin with ya's
