WHAT BAR will fit?

Not talking about the length to power ratio but ..... will most sthil bars fit a sthil chainsaw? I am talking about oil holes lining up and assuming the chain and sproket match up. Also I have the stock chain on my saw now... a "Green chain" will a "yellow" chain cut alot better? more teeth? sharper?

As far as I know, Stihl is using 3 different bar mount patterns, to cover all their current saw models.

The smallest one covers the saws up to the 025/250, except the 024/240.

The medium one cover the 024/240, and anything from 026/260 to 066/660.

The largest one is for just the 088/880.

Regarding "green" and "yellow" chains - the answer is mainly yes, but it depends on the exact chain models in question.......:biggrinbounce2:
