What about redmax? They didn't make it onto the list either I have a stihl 066 mag 036 pro a redmax g2500ts and an 084 on the way some where. I don't think I would ever buy another redmax though I think that saw is about worth less I can't get that saw to rev out and a new carb kit hasnt help and it has great compression. I think my next saw will wither be a stihl or husky either or probably stihl because they are the best! That should get some angry posts. lol
Stihl
026
028 AV (Woodboss or Super)
029 Super
MS 290
MS361
038 AV Super
038 Magnum ll
044
046 Magnum
Echo
305
I do like a majority of these saws, I haven't really used the echo so I don't know much about it and probably wont keep that one, it is basically brand new. Nothing against Echos but I wont use it. I will pick the 026 up every time I need something that size.
I'm a Stihl guy, but that's pretty obvious from my sig. I'd run a Husky, they're good saws, as are alot of other brands, but I know Stihls, they feel goo to me, and have never let me down, my dad owns a Stihl as does my grandfather. Plus, my Stihl dealer rocks.
Did anybody else notice this thread is two years old? I guess it's still pertinent.
I'm pretty new to the disease. Currenty a Homelite xp 1130 and one coming in the mail is a Super XL. Still looking for a smaller saw that would be good for pruning. A man has to have at least 3 saws...right?
