The only husky models at lowes 142 345 455
those are the only huskies to be made in usa in the Pull-on factory
stihl also has homeowmer saws 021 025 029
H should have offerd at least one swedish made saw at lowes all crappy rebadged pull ons
I wish they wouldn't sell them period they look so bad next to those other saws :(

I'm still trying to figure out why people (read: Stihl people) make such a stink about Husky selling the cheapy homeowner line at the box stores. What's the big deal? If you got Joe Schmuck who's having a slow weekend and all of a sudden wants to whack some sapling down in his back yard, he runs out to the big L store down the street, and grabs something they got. Probably the only time he'll ever use it. It's not likely he'd be in the market for a $500+ pro saw for such a meanial task. Can you blame Husky for trying to get a piece of that market?

Not really,,,,,

But then some 18 year old punk will get a hold of a few of them and now he's a pro Arborist,,,, who can climb any tree and has falled 100 of them!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! :monkey:   but what else would we have to laugh at!!!!!!! I guess they come in alll shapes, colors, and sizes,,,, Ya gotta love it!!!!!!!!!!!

I don't agree with Husky selling cheapo saws in Lowe's because I believe it's about greed. Doesn't take much remembering to recall all the good companies that have perished because of their greed. We can see the greed in Husky's acquistions. Nothing more than buying customers. No doubt Husky saws are some of the best made but if they are greedy that may not last. I ask if we're seeing the tip of the iceberg? One way to grow your company is to buy other companies. Unfortunately, it's a dangerous practice and sometimes backfires. If Husky management is listening, caution and a game plan is in order.:)

It's one of the downsides of being a public company.. sales growth first, profits second... the theory being profits will follow once you dominate the market.. HA!

Laugh all you want, Atleast he is trying.
I for one don't want to run 18 year old punks out of here, What would that prove? That were punks too.

So he don't like Stihls, Not every one does, A lot of pros use Huskys.

As far as joking around. who doesn't.

Yes it can back fire or it can become profitable. In this case I would say profittable. Husky gets one more factory to build there products.
Selling there products a H.D. and Lowes is has it's dangers.
Thall and I were just talking about that.
You get a contract set in stone with those Box stores to deliver at a low cost.
Now your material goes up or even shipping cost rockets. you eat the cost not the box stores.
Other companys have died from extra cost after the bid.

Sorry I could not respond sooner,WOW!!!

Stihl is not dependent on chainsaws only. I will enlighten you that they now sell more lawncare product than they do saws. Wont be long before they are Number One in this category as well Peter. All Husqvarna can do is keep buying up competition trying to play catch up. Another case of follow the leader.

Looks like Stihl has been Dependent on Huskys Ideals lately. Is that what you mean by follow the leader ?

I can see why Stihl sells more lawn care products. Who wants to by chainsaw relics.

Apparently millions upon millions of people and I guess you are referring to them as relics due to the fact that they last so long.
