Hello-
I'm very new to working on chainsaws, and just use it for home use. Chopping down trees, bucking them up, etc. My dad gave me this saw rebuilt for christmas a couple years ago and it's time for a new chain.

Not sure what year this is, or the model no. etc, but there's a serial of sorts on the back "858545"
I'm looking for the correct chain to use in this saw. I've done the current chain in by sharpening poorly.

As the pictures show-- The bar has some markings, "16HL50PRYA", "MADE IN SWEDEN", "60DL", "SW90A"

The only one that means anything to me would be the "60DL" which would be 60 drive lengths? I found a chain lying around that fit the bar pretty decent and had 60 drive lengths but was still about one length too small.

I don't have the time until this weekend to measure the current chain on there but I feel like it might not be the right chain anyways. As in, when it's in the bar, it has lateral wiggle. Maybe somethings just worn down to create that situation.

Anyone able to help me out or point me in the right direction? Thanks in advance!

Definitely a 60 drive length so I would postulate it is a 3/8 , .050 60 Drive lengths.

Did you back down the adjustor bolt on that other chain you have? It should fit.

I am not an expert on the older Jonsered saws. Is that a 630?

Yeah I backed down the bolt as far as it could go. I'llgive it another try when I'm back home.
Is it possible the links on my chain are each a tiny bit smaller making the number of drive links needed to be more? Or I suppose that would mean it wouldn't work with my bar if that was the case..?

Side question. The chain I have says 50A on the drive lengths. Is that of any significance?

Thanks for the help. Greatly appreciated.

I believe 50A is an older Windsor chain. It is 3/8 .050.
