what chainsaw to buy

i have a stihl 290 and love it. little down on the power if ur gonna be in bigger stuff but if you are just cuttin firewood it should work. these can be bought for around 350 new, same with a 455 rancher by husky which is also a good saw. check ebay for a good used one and im sure it will be in your price range.

You should be able to find a ms290 new for close to 320. Put a 16 or 18 inch bar on it and it should work pretty good for what you want.

Very good choise - smoot running, good ergonomics, and much better air filter system than the main competitors. :biggrinbounce2:

I was thinking that saw would have gone for $350-400 on ebay! You could probably get an 026 parts saw on there for $200 though.

Don't think I will buy another saw on ebay unless I figure on it being for parts.
