I was thinking something more like this with bucket clamps:

Never seen that before...who makes it...

How does it turn, looks like it has that pivot in the middle...looks like it turns well
???

What do they generally cost???

Yes it articulates in the middle. I operated one for an entire fall season and it turns real well, has plenty of power and lift, and leaves a soft impact, as opposed to a skidsteer that rips up everything.

If I was loading wood in a residential or commercial setting, I wouldn't be without it. It just might make the difference for some companies as the low impact would be desirable. To me there is nothing like packing up and looking back and not being able to tell I was there, save the missing tree(s)/and or stump(s). Priceless. I think the HO will be impressed likewise.

I see that they run mid to upper teens used, I'm not sure new. 25-30k?

I have 2 friends that have tree service businesses that have those loaders and I've watched them load wood and move brush...they work great. One guy has a grapple head on his. And like someone mentioned, low impact on a lawn.

Ya thats awesome...espicially on the larger machine like that...

I know the mini skid steer are great little machine too...that leave low impact...but looks like the Willmar there can carry a whole lot more and is bigg and bulker...but not a full bobcat...or something of that nature.

I really like they pivot...any idea on how wide they are???
wondering how they would go in back yards and stuff

I think it depends on the area your working for this kinda Biz, In PA it would never fly, I have three self employed contractors that I call to haul the wood, they take it for personal & commercial reasons & take it all for FREE!!

this helps me out greatly but also helps them too, all of em have those central boiler systems, so they need the wood!!

good luck though, in your area it might be feasible!!

LXT..........

LXT,

That is an awesome set up...i can get ride of most of my wood by friends but i deliver it to them..
