Makita DCS-330s. What is it? I never heard of this model before. . . .

Not a top handle. It seems to look like DCS340, DCS401 but no compression release.

I'm not saw shopping. I want specs on particular Makita branded Dolmar saw. It might be a UK or Euro market saw.

google says its 1996 or 1997 looks the same as my DCS340

Should be same as Dolmar PS-330 . Dolmar parts list shows PS-330 is non US Muffler. and no shield or spark arrestor. Apparently not a US Market saw. I will know more when it arrives in a few days.

Is DCS-340/PS-340 next (later) version? What is different or improved? What years were these manufactured/sold?

Did you ever get the saw? Sounded like you had one on the way. I’ve been wanting a Makita 330, eyeing them up on eBay. They aren’t very common.
