Seymour Smith and Son

I bought this saw almost 20 years ago. It's an 24' wooden pole saw. The other day I broke the one of the extensions. I looked up the company on google. Sent an e-mail to the company and got a reply to send a mailing address. I replied with my address and requested a new blade. My reply was, they're on the way.
Huh, that's a reputable company!

Jamison 6ft & 8ft dielectric core filled poles here with marvin and corona pruner heads. got one wood 6ft pole, which weight same as 6ft glass poles.

also got a collapsible pole set and 12ft pole with pruner installed that never gets used. 12ft pole is home made out of high tensile strength woven glass pipe and a marvin pruner head. centralcast III pipe used, strong and light.

Not easy even after you get conditioned to it...

Hey Bermie, how do you like that fiskars? I liked the look of one I saw once but sticker shock got me.

I find both the Fiskars VERY handy indeed. With the rotating cutting head I can angle it to get well place cuts out on the ends of branches. They have two pulling points, one a sliding handle midway on the shaft and the other a pull toggle out the end of the shaft, quite clever and versatile! Stuff that is too small and flexible for the Silky or out of reach of the Felcos can be clipped with the Fiskars My short one cost $75 and the telescoping one was over $100, it came with a saw blade too but that went in the bin on day one, not a scrap on the silky blades!!!

Have one Silky Longboy - nicely folds and stores inside the truck interior. Nice to take to speaking engagements.

And whatever snap-together fiberglass poles I ordered from www.treetools.com in Lake Oswego.

Is that Marvin's company too?

I put an ARS handsaw blade on the snap togethers. Also, I had 3 six foot sections made instead of eight footers.

I use the Jamison poles too. Corona pruner head, Fanno mondo saw blade, and the wire raiser/brush hook for installing ropes or pulling hangars. I've used the lighter fanno blades, and they are fairly easy to bend, making them near useless.

I end up using 32' worth of pole sometime almost every week, with the pruner head or the brush hook. Four eight footers with a pruner head on top will definately give you a whole days workout in just a little bit.

silky long boy looks very interesting...
