Hello there Fellas, Im back in civilization for two weeks, daughter getting married.Been cutting alot of wood this past winter and spring. May alone I felled, cut and piled 40 cords and skiddered 10 thousand feet of beetle killed spruce and burned alot of brush.
Been hiring myself out at 50$/hr. for a 6 hr. day to property owners in my subdivision. They keep the wood and we split the value of the sawlogs. All work done with an ATV with trailer and ATV winch trailer attachment for the saw logs and building logs. And building my log home in my spare time. I know, I know, no pics and it didnt happen. Lol.
Anyway, should I stay with Lambert Logging? I was thinking about enticing the greenies with names like Hort ****** Wood Products or Fire Smart Products. Have you any suggestions?
Thanks in advance. BTW. I traded 400 litres of good used clean hydraulic oil for 1/2 cord of wood, so have enough B&C oil for at least another year. Gotta keep operating costs down ya know. Lol.

Horse Rasp Logging (sounds green enough to me).
Lol, It was actually Hoof Rasp Logging. That name would go over big with the horse people. they are the hardest to please, but the girls think it cute when I'm in their bush with an ATV.

Lame Burt's Pecker Poles?

Good to see ya around, Mang!
Lol, funnily enough there at a few nice stems up there some 18" DBH and 36' long with 10"- 12" tip. Good for building logs. I lucked out and have an oldtimer helping me with my log house NC. He's built several homes already including a huge Anglican Church.
How bout Lame Burt's Leaf Kissing?

How about
Lambert's clean wood products.
Keeping the forest clean one tree at a time. Get rid of that beetle kill and promote fire safety.

Very good idea. I wonder what a guy should charge /acre for fire smarting? Maybe 6-8 thou. depending upon situation. Maybe better to charge by hr. with a two person crew and two ATV's on site and a couple of saws.
