only one vote how many none tree ppl are in this place:confused:

doesn't matter, whichever way the anchor end goes through, hopefully the running end is in front, then I hand over hand and pull the slack with whichever hand isn't holding the rope....Or I am readin this thread wrong

you need to read the post carefuly and than post. some reason i cant edit my poll:computer2:

98% of the time i will pass the rope over the crotch from right to left ... and tie my blakes on the right side.

are you mostly using your left hand to work your knot?

when i was climbing "old school" and then onto the splittail i alway tried to make sure that i would have the rope go over the branch so that when i pulled down with my right hand i would lift up. with my right hand on the knot as well. i am a righty.

now that i run the hitchclimber it doesnt really matter.

sorry bud i didnt answer the poll question though. lol

I do exactly the same thing. I've used it the other way when I've had an awkward throw or such but right feels right.

ok, maybe I didn't read the post fully, but, I just like to get myself in the tree, and go however my line is set...Doesn't matter what side....

I have always switched hands to evenly build strength. I can bat left or
right, golf left or right etc. I however can't wright fer **** but am better right.

I'm ambi. (I'm left dominant but write with my right)
I like my hitch on my right so after pulling up on the rope I can hold the rope with my strong left while dropping my right hand down and work my pulley as needed.
