My dad brought this over yesterday, "See if you can make her run Boy!" It says Techumseh on it, any ideas how old or any other info would be great!

No signs of red anywhere! I even took off the motor plate and scratched behind there, nothing but green?

What is it

I have one identical to it that I bought slightly used in 1963 from Montgomery Ward at a dock sale. I believe it was assembled by Remington, has a 5.9 cubic inch engine, and was rated for a 33" bar. Mine has a 17" bar with a 7/16" pitch chain. I used it quite a bit at first, but it is HEAVY, but cuts like mad. I retired it when a neighbor (former contractor) gave me a box with the parts of three used Homelite XL12s from which I made one that ran for quite a few years. ( I still have that one also.) I think the old Remington has a scored cylinder now, and I haven't tried to repair it. Engine parts may be available from Tecumseh. Gene Gauss
