just wondering what a 2000 bandit model 90 xp chipper is worth? the chipper has 900 hours on the 37 horsepower wisconsin gas engine. ive heard that 37 horsepower is much to low for a 9 inch chipper. knowing that it might give me some leverage on getting that price down if i do wind up buying it. thanks, Zack.

As you stated, 37 horsepower is not sufficient for a 90xp. The 90 xp unit we sold a couple years ago was 90 hp. I do not believe that chipper even comes with a wisconsin engine but I could be incorrect. The "xp" is the upper class of the regular Model 90 series. The horsepower is more in line with a 6 inch machine.
Your best bet would be to contact Bandit with the serial number and let them check their records on that particular machine.

I don't know how well a 37hp gas engine would work on a 9 inch chipper, but my Gravely 395, 9 inch disc with a 40hp Yanmar diesel kicks butt.

yeah but yanmar kick ass!buy a boat with one when you win a big lotto LOL

You Guys
Have gotten the two mixed up A mule-horse -donkey-pony Kicks

(just Kidding)

Don't forget torque is what makes it all move and accelerate, which is usually the problem with gas engines, hence why diesels are preferred engines in chippers.
