Starting off on your own

Brian,

Whan I quit working for a guy that sounds similar to your former boss, I printed up flyers, went around his former neighborhoods. When I got to a house I'd worked at before, I would include a note to the tune of: "BTW, I'm the climber who did the actual work on this site when (former boss) did your property." (I hope none of my guys is reading this  )

Maybe close to 50 percent responded with calls.

Thanks, but I have no animosity towards Don. And for the time being, I am going to stick with working for other tree outfits and avoid working directly for residential customers.

As soon as my schedule fills out a little, I'm going from $25 per hour to $30 and using the extra for insurance.

things are looking up

Only climbed one day last week, made $200. I spent $45 of my last $65 today at the chiropractor's. $6 in my bank account.
But I have work booked for 4 days this week. Got 3 phone calls today after getting home from the chiropractor's.

God is good to me when I let him!

sometimes when i've been learning i think he's the only one that held me in the tree:angel:
