where to find an 090?

I'm brand new to this great site, John Rupley turned me on to it, and of course I'll ask the most asked question, can a guy buy a new 090? I've been told you can't in the US, but what about Canada? I'm hoping it's not just a pipe dream, can anyone give me some info?

I know up in my part of Canada you would be hard pressed to find a new 090 but there are used one around, you just have to find them

One dealer here says he can get the new 070's from Brazil yet. I tried to get a price out of him but he never came up with one. I get the feeling he may have just been blowing smoke out of his butt.

now I have been told you can get 070's in Africa from one of the stihl reps, my Dad is in South America off and on , in some of the poorer country's you can find just about anything, like last year he was in some country down there looking to buy a bunch of 668 clark skidder's that this company had gone broke , I heard that there was 1/2 inch chain down there, so told him to look , he found a couple 100 foot rolls but they would not sell it , so there is stuff like 090's down there , you just have to go find it

What i can do also , when the guys from Africa come over I will ask them if there are any 090's over there, shipping should not be to bad , they come over to buy bulldozers off my father to use in the diamond mines, and he has a D7 and a D8 ready for them but they normally come in late August and they like the D7's , so if the boat is already there they can ship saws back

is that a real price, god that would be $2600 to $2700 in my money , the last 2 -090's we sold were for $500 and i thought that was a good price but i guess i was wrong

I bougth mine from Pro-Cut saw mills out of Canada.It was a couple years ago.I paid $1045 new w/36" GB and Stihl bar with it.

There is an ugly 090 on Ebay for $800 US buy it now.http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&category=20538&item=4310522909&rd=1&ssPageName=WDVW If yours is nice cosmetically, you can get a piston and cylinder for $130 US plus delivery on Ebay from Germany. I'd grab it, Parts alone would sell more than $250 Cnd on Ebay! IMHO.
