About a year ago, I had Dean do a stage 2 mod on my 660. (he didn't have the stage 3 (in its current rendition) in the lineup then) The saw rips. The standard setup on it is a 36" bar and 8 tooth sprocket, and it LOVES to have that thing buried. No problem. Even with the 42" bar, that saw will run buried and flying.
Right now, I have my 044 down there for him to do a stage 3T mod on. I was thinking about having him put on a 46BB top end, but after hearing TreeSling'r's testimony, I'll at least reconsider for a minute. I might just go for a stock 460 P&C. Either way, I'm anxious. I love the 044, so a modded one with a 46 top end should be even better, right?
To sum it up, Dean does good work. You won't regret sending your saw to him. Except that then you'll send all of your saws to him. He really isn't much different from a crack dealer.
