Since one of mine went couple weeks ago, I've been going around and knocking splits in here and there.

Looks like nice locust. And yes, 5 ft. is pushing it w/o lateral support of some type. Wood shrinks and shifts when it dries. Nice blame for WS though. He is on my ignore list of life.
