Well I wasent even alive then but, I have one and am having a problem Identifying it. It says on the clutch cover XL 870 The main saw body is red,but the clutch cover and starter cover are green that and a few other homemade pieces makes me think this saw is pieced together. It has a tillotston carb. #HS56A and is dated 1963. The only number on the case I can find is 65585. I cant find any info on the net for an xl 870 its like they were never made or just so old they got erased. If any one has any info about this saw please let me know. Thanks
