Reading through the 2003 builder awards post, I saw there were people recommending some guys as large saw vs. small saw builders. I'd like to narrow it down to just the Husky 346. Hopefully towards the end of this winter, I'll be ready to have mine built and would like some opinions on where to send it. Obviously the more power the better, but reliability is also an issue. I'm not looking for attacks on anybody, just who you would use and why. Feedback from people with modified 346's would be great too. Thanks...

I believe DozerDan has built the most 346XP's for AS members. I've had mine for several months and it's the best 3 cube saw I've ever owned. If it blew up tomorrow I'd still buy another from Danny, but I have the feeling this saw will run a long time.

Danny is also a Husky dealer and has very competitive prices on saws. My recommendation is to buy the saw from him so you do not have to pay shipping twice.

Rich, have you told your wife about all your new PP chainsaws yet? Just how many saws have you bought from Danny? I'm at 2 and one more this coming spring.

Oh Brian, how many times have you told the new guy to search the older threads?:D

I am with Brian on DozerDan. I have had 3 saws built by him. He is a standup guy and a master at his craft. I also went with Dan for his fast turnaround and reasonable price. Having him only 3 to 4 hrs. from me helped too!:D

I have no doubt the man in the video could tell you who can build a fast saw. Will he build you one for 235.00 plus shipping?
What does a 371 video have to do with a 346?
Do I need videos to prove that my 346s are fast enough for 90% of the people on this site?
If you dont think that I can build a fast 346,come on down here and I will let you run a few.

Oops, my mistake. That video came from a thread with 346 in the title...

It would be cool to see a video comparing a stock 346 go through a log and then a PP346 go through the same log. Most digital cameras have movie settings these days and this site accepts .AVI files so it would be simple thing to do if you had the two saws and a camera.
It would be interesting to even see the results of timed cuts between stock, muffler moded, and PPed 346s. Not that I'm interested in a little sissy saw, but for those that are it would be very informative.

A guy could even build a saw, show it off in a video, and then auction it off.

No problem. Go out and purchase your choice of saws, video them, send them to me for porting. I will then return them to you and you can video them again and you can post them for us.

I always say you have to read before you post, then again Mike might be using one of these so he doesn't understand power.

Hi Ed, that's great, I'm off to the woods and will call you tonight. I wont shoot my mouth off though and tell the DD Crew it's .47 in a 10" round or they will all be seized and run back to the drawing board
Thanks, John

ok john no lies now
tell the truth and nothing but the truth
you came and you sawed
what did you think or have you not picked your jaw up yet
be carefully it will hurt when you trip over it
just to bad it was so cold up here
