why does wesspur splice True Blue?

Samson is the maker and sherrill sells the stuff and both say that a DuraTite 12 strand construction is non-spliceable. does wesspur know something sherrill and samson dont? any info would be great. thanx WLL

Sherrill splices it as well. Maybe you should call Wesspur and find out how they splice it.

i believe the end has to be left looser at the factory for this?

Yale had 12 strand climbing lines that were supposedly not spliceable, but using their Vari-lay technology, they were able to do as Spydie says, and make small sections of the rope spliceable.

Maybe Samson does the same thing?
