We did a big spruce the next day that was on a house over on Cresta. It didnt damage the house to much, but it did fill up the chip truck twice with the brush.

Well, I went out to take care of business this morning. Wind wasn't too bad but by the time I got set up and got to the top it was really kicking me around. As much as I didn't want to I just came down and packed up. Man am I happy I did though because we are getting 35 mph wind gusts and that is just not fun. Luckly the home owner was cool about it.

20mph gusts today huge spruce to TD,needless to say i'm not going to do it ..Its great to see otheres on here that wont work over 18mph unless they really have to.

Rollacosta-huge spruce in England? Not tryin to be a ****** (still say that over there?) but how about Sitka Spruces over 200ft. tall, over 8' at the butt. I climb spruces that are 150ft. + a lot but not in the big wind. Its been blowin here for days, gale force, 15ft. swells in the chuck. Not letting up now fri, sat, sun, mon and tomorow, damn it. Hey is it true that the tallest tree in England is a Douglas fir, from B.C.?

I heard that Rolla,
Went up about 45 feet in 30 mph wind last week or so up a dead pine and it was rocking. I thought I could have roped the dead pine it seems that strong , no needles, no cones. That was really stupid of me but I did it I dont know why. A live tree is stout but a dead its just a matter of time.:bang:
