Wood ID please

What are these 2 types of wood? The red stuff doesn't split well so I'm not sure.

I think you 2 nailed the cherry. 1 & 4 are not maple IMO. It looks like hackberry to me. I don't see the normal warts on the bark but the color of the wood and the way the bark is peeling looks just like hackberry. Some hackberry bark is not as "warty" as others.
 
I second @Streblerm . 1&4 are soft maple and 2&3 are cherry. I just split and stacked about 1/3 cord of each in the past couple months. Looks like the maple has been sitting awhile, hence the off-color of the bark and the way it's peeling off in the 4th picture.
 
What kind of soft maple do you think? Certainly not silver.

You know, after looking around online for a bit I think perhaps it might be silver maple. Apparently the young maples have smooth bark which gets more flaky as it ages. And certainly the grain and color are consistent with silver maple.
