My wife thinks I'm crazy just because I can identify each piece, Red Oak, White Oak, Ash, Hard Maple, Soft Maple, Birch, she really laughs when I smell the wood to identify it when the bark is off of it.

I feel better knowin that I am knot alone..... I could talk for hours about my woodpile, if anyone wood listen. Where it came from, how cold it will have to be for me to use "that" piece etc....How many of you have done this bonehead move... I had the "perfect wood" , a very small pile of it, just the right size, and solid, for the really cold nights. I was to tight to use it, thinking that I would wait till I really needed it, well about three years of waiting and now I have "perfect punk". I am a dumbarse
