I hate it in the mourning, when your getting dressed and u realize after ya put your boots on.....................that you have no pants

:msp_confused: Wow. Beast, Im sure you know all about the nepatism and other things that come with a muni job. You could get stuck with a bunch of 'make work' crew guys that can barley start a saw, and no matter how much experience you have its all about senority. Greanbeans had some pretty good advise.

winter in illinois, get dressed to work in below zero, 3-4 layers, and THEN have to use the bathroom sitting down....:bang:

LOL!! fur sur that sucks!

WOW!! Treemandan, F-ME!! I'm heart broken, Ill go choke my self now. But first I need to go pick up several more contracts. Just so ya know, I took what ya said before about the name to heart, thought long and hard about it and realized you were on to something, so a legal name change is in the process. Your right, I don't want to be categorized with the hacks because of the name. Don't pat yourself on the back just yet, only after talking to some legit, experienced business owners on here, and else were did I come to a decision. But jeez F-ME over my name! LAME, REALLY LAME.
And so ya know, the reason those company's hire the Mexicans is not cheap labor, I would bet that several of them make a lot more than you, they choose them because they don't ##### and moan like white people. Don't get me wrong, I want the borders shut like everyone else, but the Mexicans, some suck, sure. Most of them are decent working folks who could teach a thing or 2 to our young white kids about work ethic, morals and family values, those who have worked with them will relate.
Brickman, yeah that crappy company, that takes care of yards for deployed Marines......for free. Yep, that company sucks for sure. Guess making over 100 million a year in revenue makes them idiots as well

Sometimes is seems that both hacks and real professionals can come out seemingly the same on paper once they craft their resume'.

And maybe only an interview can cull the hacks after that. Which means that length or certain types of experience are critical to list on the resume. And if you BS you are history and if you do present yourself accurately, you have a chance.

I likewise have experience where companies either don't exist, or, I do not want to list all the addresses. So I bunched them altogether between the years that I worked for them.

If you visit my homepage (signature), go to background / letters and see the resume link.

Just rewrote it for the first time in like 18 years. I kept it at one page for 18 years, and just bumped it to 2 pages. Am more or less self-employed, but like to keep the resume around, even if just for my own recollection.

Resume woes

Beastmaster
You need to focus your resume on your skill sets including specialized, acomplishments and your experience. The length of time is more valuble than specific dates. Also it is how your resume reads. If it is a long drag on paragraph aaahhh BORING. Or fast and bullet pointed facts that catch the eye. Sorry to say it but as long as it may take to write one it will only get 5 minuts at most in review....most likely less if it reads poorly. Most good hard working people do not want to blow smoke up their own skirt but that is what it is about, yes selling yourself. Once you have made the sale and secured the desired position then you can prove your value and develope solid work relationships.

That being said.... be self confident, be positive and be successful! And most of all DONT LISTEN TO NEGATIVE #### ABOUT THIS TRADE OR HOW HARD IT IS TO SUCCEED....THAT IS THE VOICE OF FAILURE SPEAKING. I have met and spoke with some really incredible people in this field.:rock::rock:

Do they us the illegal aliens to mow the Marines grass?:msp_wink:

The rest of what you said sounded like more of your gratuitous and improper word placement.

No and you have peaked my curiosity.....please tell

Its an immigration law that allows for the temporary placement of forgein nationals in a non-agricultural position here the US.

Brickman mostly likely knows and goes through the obscure channels of immigration considering they have the resources to obscure the channels. They have people working around the clock on this just so we can have mulch in our parking lots and they get paid without having to pay.
If Brickman put our own sons and daughters to work like that our own sons and daughters would sue. Well, I base that on the testimony of all the US citizens I personally know who have worked at Brickman.
So, when I hear that Brickman turns millions of dollars in revenue it doesn't impress me as a positive thing. Bernie Mac made a lot of money too. Then he pissed off the people that were helping him and they ratted him out.

What exactly did Bernie Mac do? I know he's been getting hated on for a while?

Brickman, Valley Crest and #### ton of other big co's and even small companies bring people in on seasonal visas to work. Have to provide housing etc. and they have to go back to thier home country every year. Not that obscure, alot of companies use it. Even restaurants, hotels etc.

I haven't kept up on it the last couple years but it was getting harder and harder to get the paperwork done and they were lowering the amount that could be brought in.
