SAW... I was wondering if you thought the 192T was setup a little lean? I know you did the muffler mod and then tweaked tyhe carb accordingly. But do you think the carb could use a little tweak from stock anyway?

My dealer had it set pretty good from the start! The only real complaint I had was it lacked power at the start of the cut. It wanted to bog n the bark until it was in the cut a bit, after that it seemed fine. The muffler mod opend it up quite a bit more.

You want to adjust the "H" screw, but I wouldn't go that much, that is a small saw, and a little dab will do ya!!

I was under the impression that slight bogging at the start might be from a lean mix.

I'll wait until I get 15 or so tanks of gas through the saw, and then see what the dealers thinks about some tweaks.

On another front, how big have you cut with the saw? At what point do you switch to your 350? I assume you switch as soon as you are ready to rock and roll at cutting up the trunk and larger limbs.

If nothing else it'll look great filling up that space on your wall.... the beginning of a impressive collection maybe.

Indeed. I stopped by the only Dolmar dealer in my area to look at the 5100S. He wanted MSRP for the saw and was not willing to negotiate price or extra goodies. :( He runs a small lawn care shop, with all of the larger shops selling Stihl and Echo in my area. I do have one Husky dealer near by, and I might check out the 353 next week.

I'm gonna try to resist since I really don't have an immediate need for the bigger saw.

If the Dolmar dealer had offered to meet some of the more friendly prices of our spopnsors, I would not have been able to resist. So, the dealer was probably doing me a favor. :)

I have, I don't recomend this at all, cut down a 18" pine with it. It was the only saw I had with me that ran! Honestly the 350 doesn't get run much if any anymore, it's just there just in case. I don't even run the 346 that much, I find the 046 cuts so much faster it's worth just feeding it and going home. Now when it warms up and I start climbing agian, the 346 will get a lot more use, not that interested in dragging up the 046 in a tree. I try and do everything I can with the 192 in the tre as I can. I am very limeted, I might have one groundie if that, when I trim trees.
Now when I go firewooding, I take all of my saws, it's 96mi each way and I am coming home with a load!! The 046 gets run the most, but I have the helpers fill the 346 at the start, then run the 046 till it's out of gas, run the 346 untill the 046 is read again, and so on.
Like I sa, when I am up in a tree I want to get done and down, so I do everything I can with one saw, takes a bit of time to cut, but beats sending saws up and down on the rope!
