Yet another saw recommendation inquiry

I bought the 261 with a 20" bar and have been satisfied so far. I'm glad I didn't buy anything heavier, and with a sharp chain it has enough power for whatever I need.

Its a great saw. I really like mine for firewood cutting. It works great for limbing. It pairs well with my 500i when larger trees are the task. Keep the chain sharp and that 261 will serve you well.

If Stihl is your only choice, I would go straight to a 400, same weight and more power than a 362. I had one and it was a fine cutting saw, but I preferred Husqvarna so ended up getting a 562 instead. Either should take you through any phase your tree cutting adventures lead you on.
