I have been raised in a part of the country that is by in large Stihl country. So much of my two stroke knowledge is directed to that brand. Now it is up to the Husky fans of the world to bring me up to speed with the all orange product. I like frankensteining chainsaws: larger clys on smaller crankcase and such, so anything like that in orange could sway me. But any info on cool Husky builds would be grateful and don't be afraid to point me to the threads or to tell me lay down and stay in the Sthil camp.:sucks: maybe o_O

Well, those who know me know I would never stir the pot or pass on here-say or rumors...
But, since you asked, I hear the ported 562XP is nick-named the "Stihl Killer". Might want to start there...

Big-time cutters are calling that one a joke. PM Westboastfaller and ask him about the 562XP in the real world.

It's not possible to cover all the Husqvarna benefuts and swaps in a post, it is possible to search for the info.

A good place to start might be a 350/346xp build.

Is there any stihl clamshell that can take a pro p&c? With an easily available adaptor?

In the Stihl world it would be like putting an 026 on an 025....

I would like to think that model is the next great thing for their power to weight. Especially with the electronic controls and the paint job is bad to the bone. lol

Westboastfaller is one heavy hitter on these trees, man. He told me they're junk.

I've heard they're great, at least around here. Several services/clear cutters have them and say they're good. Why do you say the opposite?
Cause he's a Stihl head! There have been a few problems with a few 562xp saws, but minor compared to the number sold. Not a saw out there I'd trade my 562xp for...

Right on...562xp is what is....a hot rod...but not a daily driver for the working man...stihl is heavy and slow but takes a beating like no other saw...magnus the swede even says the 562xp doesn't hold up...
